Hestia panel is a web management panel used by a lot of developers around the world with beautiful interface. It is very fast due to integration with NGiNX.
Installing Hestia on VPS or cloud hosting is not complicated, it is very simple but requires little knowledge for the steps to be performed.
This tutorial is presented by using Contabo VPS package, and operating system is Ubuntu. If you are using another language that is not Debian-based Linux, then check another article.
These are the steps on installing Hestia panel in VPS or Cloud hosting:
- Download and Install Putty
Putty client is useful for accessing VPS or Cloud server remotely to perform important tasks such as panel installation, updates and much more.
- Run putty program and sign-in
- Fill host name ip and click open tab to access terminal of the program.
- Fill root user and password
You have to fill root username which is “root” and password used to install the server.
- Copy installation link of Hestia and run it
Wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hestiacp/release/install/hst-install.sh- Install SSL Certificates
- Start Hestia panel installation with link on image below
- Accept dependencies installs by click Y, then continue
- Fill your email address
- Fill your hostname eg. hestacp.yourdomain.com
- Complete
- Before quitting the terminal, you have to scroll gently upward to copy panel credentials then save it to notepad.
- Access your panel and sign-in with credentials
- Bypass SSL warning then you will access the panel
